How to Play Word Cookies

Word Cookies is developed by BitMango and available free on iOS and Android. Letter tiles are arranged around a mixing bowl; you swipe through them in any order to form valid English words, and each correct word flies up from the bowl to fill in a slot on the crossword-style grid above. Every slot must be filled to complete the level.

Each level belongs to a named pack — Home Baker, Macaron, Legendary Chef, and hundreds more. Within each pack, levels are numbered sequentially and share the same difficulty profile. The Bonus Jar beside the bowl collects any valid word you form that is not required by the level. Bonus words do not affect completion but earn hint coins. BitMango's hint system reveals one letter of a stuck word at a time.

Difficulty in Word Cookies is real. Early chef-tier packs use familiar vocabulary, but the upper tiers — Master Chef, Legendary Chef, Mythical Chef — regularly require words like FRUITFUL, SELFISH, and NOMINATE from tight pools. Tips for Tough Word Cookies Packs

Start with 3-letter words to anchor the grid. Every Word Cookies level contains at least two 3-letter words. Finding them first reveals the shape of the board and often exposes the vowel structure needed for longer words.

Work from vowels outward. BitMango puzzle designers tend to build levels around one central vowel. Find the vowel and try every 3-4 letter word outward from it. If the pool contains U, words with U in the middle (FUR, RUT, BUN, GUM) are usually present.

The bonus jar is a hint generator. Before spending a hint on a required word you cannot find, spend 60 seconds on systematic bonus word swiping. Common bonus words — plurals of required words, past-tense forms, two-letter prepositions — often earn enough coins to reveal the hint you need.

Save hints for the anchor word. Most Word Cookies levels have one long anchor word (the longest required word) that uses most of the unique letters. Finding it reveals the letter pool's core structure. Spend hints exclusively on the anchor word.
